The Master Programme of Life Science Informatics is offered jointly by the University of Bonn and RWTH Aachen in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institutes at Sankt Augustin near Bonn.

This Interdisciplinary Programme will educate the participant to successfully master the novel technical and economic challenges at the crossroads of molecular biology, medicine, pharmaceutics, and data science in the life sciences.

The Programme is distinguished by its international orientation, its focus on both natural science and IT competence, and its high level of integration of research and teaching.

The Programme is characterised by a significant share of research lab courses embedded in both basic and applied research of the participating Fraunhofer Institutes in cooperation with industry.

The University of Klagenfurt (AAU) is a young, lively, innovative university located in Klagenfurt am Woerthersee, Austria.

In the field of "Technical Sciences", the University of Klagenfurt achieved third place among Austrian universities in the 201-250 range in the THE World University Rankings 2020.

The Master's degree programme Information and Communications Engineering builds on and develops skills acquired in the course of a Bachelor's degree (e.g. Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telematics, Informatics).

The programme is international in its orientation and is taught entirely in English. In addition to offering broad fundamental knowledge, the branches (Autonomous Systems and Robotics, Networks & Communications, Business Engineering) of study allow students to gain in-depth qualifications, also in ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE / MACHINE LEARNING, for the development and use of modern information and communication technologies.
