For fall 2026, it is planned that the Bachelor degree program "Medical Engineering" will be offered in German and English*. No knowledge of German is required for students pursuing "Medical Engineering" in English.

The content of the degree program “Medical Engineering” covers the entire medical technology processing chain from image and signal generation, acquisition and processing through to the up to the visualization of this data (e.g. ultrasound, CT, thermography).

Medical information technology is a rapidly growing market and is not left out by any major medical technology or IT company. The trend is towards offering total solutions - "Applications and Solutions" - and integrating modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment into the healthcare provider's information system.

On the one hand, you will learn relevant knowledge in computer science and mathematics, on the other focus successively on medical technology topics such as anatomy, physiology and imaging procedures.

From the fourth semester, a compulsory elective module is available in the fields of Mobile App Development, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things.
