About the University
1922 - year of foundation in Kyiv
1959 - transferred to Rivne as Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineers (UIWME)
1995 - UIWME has been granted the status of Ukrainian State Academy of Water Management (USAWM)
1998 - USAWM has been granted the status of Rivne State Technical University (RSTU)
760 protection documents for inventions have been obtained including 26 during last 10 years.
Patents have been received and introduced into production:
· systems of irrigation and drainage in Ukraine, Russia, and Baltic states;
· systems of water preparation, treatment of natural and waste waters;
· constructions of elements of drainage and irrigation systems, methods and devices for protecting pipelines from water hammer, corrosion, vibration;
· machines and mechanisms for mechanising labour consuming processes;
· materials for water economy projects;
· technique and equipment for purifying loose substances on basis of fundamental methods.
There are special academic councils for defending doctor's and candidate's theses.
International cooperation:
· graduates work on all continents;
· foreign students from 34 foreign countries get higher education and academic degree of Master;
· collaboration with educational and research institutions of Algeria, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Russia, France, Bulgaria, South Africa, and with firms of Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, USA, China, Lithuania;
· on University basis an international association "Intervir" is functioning;
