About Tver State University

Tver State University ranks first in education and science among higher educational institutions in our region. The university implements 76 bachelor's degree programs, 10 specialist programs, 48 master's programs, and 34 postgraduate programs. On the basis of the university, there are 6 dissertation councils, more than 30 scientific centers and research laboratories.

The leading position of TvSU is also confirmed by numerous domestic and foreign university rankings. Tver State University, according to the results of the audit of the effectiveness of the work of scientific organizations, was among the "stably operating"; was included in the Top 600 best universities in the world according to the Times THE World University Rankings 2020 and in the Top of the best universities in the world according to the Round University Ranking (RUR Rapanking 2020).

Tver State University has established close ties with more than 20 universities in foreign countries. Our university conducts student and teacher exchanges, organizes international educational practices, and trains foreign students. Academic mobility is developing due to the presence of partnerships, participation in various programs. The university participates in the implementation of projects of the EU ERASMUS + program.

Over the years of a long history, our university has developed a huge number of traditions and customs. TvSU holds various events in which not only employees and students of the university take part, but also residents and guests of our city. Thus, Tver State University annually holds traditional Days of Slavic Literature and Culture, Health Days, welcomes students on the Day of Knowledge, organizes a series of concerts "Dedication to Students" and "Student Spring", widely celebrates the holidays "Tatiana's Day" and "Day of Science". On the eve of Victory Day, every year Tver State University honors veterans at the stele to teachers, staff and students of the university who died during the war.

At present, Tver State University is increasingly using its intellectual capital to contribute to the formation of a new technological order in the country, the achievement of national development goals of Russia and the promotion of innovative development of the Tver region.
