The SSTH Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality in Chur/Passugg looks back on a 40-year tradition, and is recognised as an internationally established hotel management school. As a member of Swiss Hotel School Association ASEH, SSTH provides a high quality education and is anxious to fulfill the constantly changing demands of the hospitality industry.
Swiss School offers courses in both English and in the German language. The school campus is situated in an idyllic location in the Alps, centrally placed in regard to most major cities of Europe, and of course Switzerland. About the Courses
Hotel Operations: Swiss Diploma in Hotel Operations
This 1 ½ year program is for students whose goal is to become manager in one of the functional departments of a hotel or restaurant. Beside theory, classes and in-house practical training of 1-year students will attend a paid internship of 6 months in a hotel or restaurant in Switzerland or abroad.
Swiss Higher Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management
This program is a three years course and is for students wanting to pursue a managerial career in the hospitality industry. This program prepares students for managerial responsibilities in single operating units or chain organizations. Besides the theory, classes and the in-house practical training students attend a paid internship of 1 year in a hotel or restaurant.
Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism and Hospitality Management
Students who have successfully completed their Swiss Higher Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management may enter the bachelor degree program at one of our partner universities. One year on top of the three-year education program of Swiss School will lead to a Bachelor degree. The objective of the Bachelor degree program is to prepare young professionals to become leading hospitality managers in the various hotels and tourism outlets around the world.
Post Graduate Diploma in International Hospitality Management
This program provides graduate students with a sound and thorough understanding of operations in the area of hospitality, to complement their previous significant background in another field. Managerial subjects are complemented by operational courses. The aim is to develop both the knowledge of practical skills necessary in the hospitality industry, and the critical thinking, entrepreneurship and problem solving required to become an effective and successful hospitality executive or manager. Students aiming for a Master degree have the opportunity to continue their studies with one of our partner university.
