MBA International Program Winner of the Association of MBAs (AMBA) MBA Innovation Award 2013, the MBA International Program at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) aspires to develop a new leadership style that combines analytical thinking and technological awareness, but also, personal skills and entrepreneurial spirit. We look for passion and attitude. These are the vital ingredients that make leaders and top international companies. At a time of global economic changes, business education must give you answers to cope with new developments, as well as the insights and the tools to manage them. The MBA International Program, which is offered by the Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB), addresses successfully key themes, such as innovation and entrepreneurship, change management, supply chains, human capital and knowledge management. Through a rich curriculum, structured on a unique learning model, the program fosters a new generation of management professionals and business executives. Quality is guaranteed as the MBA International is officially accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). We believe there is no perfect method that applies to every student, but that methods must be adjusted to the specific needs of each participant. Therefore, the MBA curriculum offers a high degree of flexibility in building your own program that responds to your personality, skills, culture and attitude. The core curriculum teaches you the fundamentals of management, from accounting to strategy, from decision-making to corporate governance and business ethics, while focusing on the changing global reality. More than 30 elective courses, spread out in the key functional areas of an enterprise, allow you to concentrate in the area of your choice. At the same time, the 5 majors offered give students the opportunity to gain knowledge into an area of interest, thus facilitating a career switch or developing an existing specialty. A member of the United Nations Global Compact initiative since 2006, and the Global Compact Network Hellas since its foundation in 2008, the MBA International takes pride in promoting Corporate Social Responsibility through curriculum, collaboration with business, academic research and various student activities. Two of the outstanding features of the program, are the Personal Skills Development Program (PSDP) and the Immersion Project. The PSDP is a year-long program that runs in parallel with courses, and allows students to improve their personal skills through a variety of pedagogical tools including individualized coaching, mock interviews, role playing etc. The Immersion Project, that can involve a Field Study Consulting Project, an International Internship, a Business Plan for a student initiated venture or another relevant team or individual project, is a sought-after component of our program. It offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a business environment by working for three months on a real-company problem or an entrepreneurial idea. A significant number of our students get job offers while they do their Immersion Project. By blending an exceptional mix of students from more than 20 countries, with top faculty and companies from throughout the world, AUEB aspires to set a new standard in business education internationally. The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) was originally founded in 1920, it is the third oldest University in Greece and the oldest one in the general fields of Economics and Business. AUEB has always been on the forefront of education and research. Enjoying the best reputation in Greece, and having developed a strong research orientation, it has produced by far the largest number of industry leaders, entrepreneurs and managers and has thus played a key role in the development of the country. The University offers undergraduate (B.Sc.), graduate (M.Sc. or M.B.A. or M.A.) and doctoral (PhD) degrees. It is comprised of eight departments as follows:

The academic staff of the University consists of resident faculty, adjunct faculty, and visiting faculty. In addition, teaching and research assistants, foreign language and athletics instructors, and teachers of cultural activities are members of the academic staff. Resident faculty has to have a Doctorate in order to assume any level. A vast majority of the current faculty of AUEB have obtained their PhD degrees from the USA or the UK, in Universities such as Harvard, Columbia, MIT, Cambridge, Northwestern, UC-Berkeley, NYU, Pennsylvania, LSE, LBS, Warwick, Manchester, Strathclyde, Aix-en-Provence, Essex, Maryland, City, Paris, Bath, Reading, etc. AUEB faculty has previously served on the faculties of leading international Universities before getting a position at AUEB. Examples of such Universities include Columbia, Pennsylvania (Wharton), Northwestern, Cambridge, Dartmouth, U of Rochester, Imperial, Erasmus, Manchester, City, ETH Zurich, Paris-Dauphine, etc.
