    Student profile
    Our courses are aimed at international students who want to spend a short time in Berlin. We welcome and encourage a diverse and international group of participants to our programs every year, and hope to continue to do so in the future. Last summer we had participants from 52 different countries take part.

    Admission requirements
    We require that all applicants are proficient in English (to the level of B2) and have at least one year of university experience.

    Summer & Winter University


    The TU Berlin Summer & Winter School offers innovative and hands-on short courses across the fields of science, technology, architecture, design and business, delivered on campus at the TU Berlin.

    International students are invited to experience Berlin during the summer or winter with our unique and specially curated programs. Participants will have the opportunity to broaden their academic knowledge, earn European Credit points (ECTS) and to make new friends from around the world. All courses are all taught in English.

  • About Berlin University of Technology

    The TU Berlin as it is today was founded in April 1946, but its roots go back to a Building Academy which was established in the 18th century. Nowadays, TU Berlin is an internationally renowned university in the German capital, at the heart of Europe.

    With about 31,000 students in 115 degree programmes it is one of the largest institutes of technology in Germany. The main focus in research and teaching at TU Berlin is on engineering and natural sciences. In addition, it offers degree programmes in planning, social sciences, the humanities, and economics and management. Research at TU Berlin is characterised by close cooperation with external research institutions and industry. Well-known companies such as Deutsche Telekom AG and Siemens AG are actively engaged at TU Berlin.
