The MSc in Human Resources Management and Organizational Consulting is a full-time programme designed to provide students with a truly transformative experience. Taken within Iscte Business School, this programme combines the teaching of advanced HR knowledge with the connection to the business reality, whilst encouraging the personal development of the students
It is widely known that in reaction to the technological evolution, organizations have been basing their competitiveness on intangible factors in which human involvement plays a key role. At the professional level, besides the traditional activities related to selection, training or compensation, positions associated to HRM implicate strategic planning, development of continuous improvement and deep change projects.
These methods require the mastery of a set of advanced and specific competencies that only advanced training can provide. Moreover, knowledge in the HRM area has been growing exponentially, establishing an even more competent body to support an autonomous professional activity, evidence-based and permanent updating.
In short, the aim of this Master upholds IBS's mission, to transmit and convey HRM-related scientific knowledge, pursuant to the highest international patterns, that provides economic, social and cultural value to society
Major recruiters of graduates of the Programme
100% were employed within 3 months of the end of the Programme. The MSc in Human Resources Management has an employment rate of 100% up to 12 months after completion of Programme. The sectors most represented in the recruit of masters’ graduates are the Consulting and Audit, and Telecommunications. In this range of sectors, some of the major recruiters are Altice/Portugal Telecom, Novabase, and Greenwich Consulting.
University Residence
Located in the 17th-century Monastery of Santos-o-Novo (which is classified as a National Monument), the residence lies on a small hill by the Tagus River in Lisbon’s east end. The building benefits from a spectacular view of the sea and is a short distance from the railway station of Santa Apolónia, the traditional neighbourhood of Alfama, and the new residential, commercial and service area of Parque das Nações. By metro, residents can also easily access Terreiro do Paço and downtown Lisbon.

About Iscte Business School
Iscte Business School traces its origins back to the former department of management sciences, established in 1972. Since then, this school is renowned for its innovative and entrepreneurial focus, international and multicultural environment, and its excellence in both learning and research. Furthermore, an extremely solid connection to the business world is reflected on the exceptional work placement rates of our graduates.
Putting it in numbers, we are constituted by a group of excellence that is formed by approximately 181 faculty members, which are distributed throughout our six departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Management, Quantitative Methods for Management and Economics, and Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour.
