Master’s Degree International Co-op Program

Hi-Tech International Resources, Inc. (HTIR), in partnership with Colorado Technical University (CTU), is offering students an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and one of CTU’s master’s degrees, available in the following areas of study:

· Business Administration
· Computer Engineering
· Computer Science
· Electrical Engineering
· Management

HTIR and CTU provide qualified students an opportunity to work for an off-site American company while obtaining curriculum-related practical experience and working toward their master’s degree. Students can work full-time (40 hours per week) in paid internships and earn $7 per hour for entry-level positions and up to $15 per hour for more highly skilled positions—some with the possibility of overtime. CTU has the unique opportunity to offer full-time employment for international students during their master’s degree studies in the five programs outlined above. Through this co-op program, HTIR and CTU will assist qualified students in obtaining an education that will equip them with the skills necessary to compete in the worldwide market.

CTU, founded in Colorado Springs in 1965, has been accredited by The Higher Learning Commission since 1980. CTU is also a member of the North Central Association.

Career Services

CTU in Colorado Springs is part of the Career Education Corporation, which assists graduates and alumni with career placement. On-site agencies provide global access to candidates and job opportunities from domestic and international sites and can aid in securing employment that is exciting and rewarding.

CTU has three campuses located in Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Several thousand students are continuously enrolled in more than ten undergraduate majors, five graduate majors with a varied selection of concentrations, as well as in Associate Professional Certificate and Ph.D. programs.

All classes are taught by professors—not teaching assistants. Instructional groups, limited in size, encourage participation and allow faculty members to devote more time to individual students. Just as students are graded for their academic progress, you will evaluate your professors’ performance, as well.

Admission Requirements

The Co-op Program is designed for students who value classroom and practical experience. All international applicants must apply through HTIR.

Specific requirements for international students are:

· Minimum age 22
· A baccalaureate degree from any institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or an equivalent agency of a foreign government
· Minimum TOEFL score of 550 written or 213 computer-based or 2 years of study at an English-speaking university
· CTU’s admissions standards met
· Completed application package
