The Master of HIV is the first education ever that combines teaching in clinical and organisational management of HIV. The master's degree programme in HIV sets out to provide students with the state-of-the-art public health and clinical HIV knowledge, skills and competences that will allow them to engage on the labour market with expertise that rests on a scientific foundation. The objective is that the student upon graduation will be able to:
b) participate in the planning, execution and evaluation of preventive and sustainable measures based on accepted policies and standards c) analyse HIV-related issues including the individual, social, cultural and political context d) participate in quantitative and qualitative HIV research. The Masters focus is on HIV in an international perspective, however, because of the complex interplay between HIV, other diseases and their management teaching is generic and cross-disciplinary. Copenhagen School of Global Health is anchored in the Department of International health, Immunology and Microbiology, at the faculty of Health Sciences at Copenhagen university, Denmark The overall purpose of Copenhagen School of Global health is to coordinate and improve health research and training at the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with local and global partners, and to promote health and development by research- and evidence based interventions against major health problems affecting low- and middle-income societies. |
