ECLA of Bard, a Liberal Arts University, Germany

  • BA in Value Studies
>ECLA of Bard, a Liberal Arts University
The ECLA of Bard degree programme is designed to secure a very high level of general education, while preparing for continued study in fields such as philosophy, literature, political theory, and art history.

It takes four years to complete the programme. Students spend the first two years at ECLA dividing their time between common core courses and foundational studies in their areas of concentration. The third year is arranged for each student individually according to his or her interests, and will normally be spent studying or working somewhere else in the world. Students finish their degrees back in Berlin with a year structured around a research project supervised by one or two of the ECLA faculty members.

Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology

Georg-August-University of Göttingen, Germany, Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology

  • BSc in Molecular Ecosystem Sciences
    From molecules... to ecosystems!
The goals of this new B.Sc. course are ambitious: Young students will learn modern methods, both in ecology and in molecular (bio-) sciences. They will be exposed to the most recent developments in both fields in a very early phase of their studies, and they will become involved in research activities of leading research teams in their respective fields.

Lectures provide necessary background knowledge, but we expect an understanding of natural sciences, in particular biology, from school or the willingness to independently refresh this knowledge. Most teaching modules comprise practical work, field and laboratory courses or seminars – students will receive practical training and they will frequently interact with lecturers and other students.
