The Chapman School has made significant investments over the past years in the fields of information technology, international business and entrepreneurship, helping it to gain national recognition in those strategic areas. Business Week has consistently ranked the Chapman School as the leading business school in South Florida. MBA Programs Full-Time, 12 month, International MBA Program According to U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Graduate Schools (2006) the Chapman School’s, full-time, 12 month, International MBA is ranked #4 in the U.S. with a specialization in international business. Courses are taught from a global perspective by faculty which is 50 percent international. The learning experience is further enriched by the fact that 65 percent of the student body is international. The study abroad and internship opportunities provide students with practical international business experience. And, the curriculum for both programs includes a foreign language component, where students choose between Chinese (Mandarin), French, Spanish, Advanced Business English or Portuguese. Students electing the “China Track” participate in a semester-long study abroad and take Chinese language courses both during their year at the Chapman School and for one month in China.
Other MBA Programs Downtown MBA (18 months, weeknights) Chapman's Downtown MBA is a convenient option for working professionals who want to obtain their MBA. Classes are held at Chapman's Downtown Center in the heart of Miami. Executive MBA (20 months, Saturdays) Designed for working professionals with five years of management experience, the program prepares students for new and expanding responsibilities as senior-level functional or general managers. Evening MBA (2-3 years, weeknights) The part-time Evening MBA program gives students the management education needed for career advancement, especially for students with daytime employment. Students may take up to four regular courses and a professional development seminar per semester. MBA for Public Managers (18 months, Monday and Wednesday Evenings) Chapman's MBA for Public Managers satisfies the educational needs of federal, state, county and city employees. Students in this program may take elective courses related to Public Administration, Social Welfare and International Relations. Professional MBA (20 months, Saturdays) A fast-paced, intense program, it is catered to professionals with at least four years of work experience. Specialized Masters' Degrees Master of Accounting Degree The Master of Accounting is 10-month weekend program that prepares students for a career in accounting and satisfies the 30 credit hours beyond a bachelor's degree required for the CPA exam in the state of Florida. Master of International Business The Master of International Business program is a 12 to 18 month, 36-credit-hour daytime or evening program for students with undergraduate business degrees who are pursuing international business careers. Master of Science in Finance A 12-month accelerated, 33-credit-hour, weekend program, this program prepares students for the CFA Level I Exam and provides them with a background in areas such as: banking, corporate finance, investment, financial engineering, financial markets and international finance. Executive Master of Science in Taxation Over a 12-month period of weekend classes and exclusive of tax season, students earn 30 credit hours toward their degree and satisfy the requirement for the CPA exam in the state of Florida. Master of Science in Human Resource Management The Master of Science in Human Resource Management program is unique in its strong focus on international HR management, the uses of information technology in HR management and change management. The 36-credit-hour program can be completed in 12 months. Classes are held on Saturdays. Master of Science in Management Information Systems Chapman's Master of Science in Management Information Systems provides students with a solid understanding of business process reengineering, the administration of enterprise-wide and e-commerce systems and the planning, design, implementation and management of information technology. The 36-credit-hour, 12-month program is offered on Saturdays. Master of Science in International Real Estate This program equips students with a detailed understanding of real estate markets and valuation, development, investment analysis and performance measurement, financing techniques, law and accounting as well as international real estate transactions. It is a 30-credit-hour program and takes 12 months to complete. Classes are held 2 evenings each week. |
