The changing conditions of a globalised world require the expansion of international scientific-technical cooperation. The ITT promotes such development by providing instruction, research and technology transfer services.
As an interdisciplinary, intercultural and international interface, the ITT has the goal to enable people of varying technical and cultural backgrounds with the capacity for wide ranging cooperation at the university and post-graduate level. Via interdisciplinary courses and applied research in cooperation with partners in both Germany and worldwide the ITT meets this goal.
The ITT offers one master program in Cologne and three further master programs jointly conducted with universities in Jordan, Mexico and Vietnam.
M. Eng. ’Software Engineering for Embedded Systems’ near the job
Starting at winter semester 2010/2011, the University of Kaiserslautern and the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering will offer a postgraduate distance learning course ’Software Engineering for Embedded Systems’, which engineers can take without giving up their jobs.
The four-semester continuing education program, which concludes with a Master’s degree by the University of Kaiserslautern, addresses (information systems) computer scientists, engineers such as mechanical engineers or electrical engineers, but also mathematicians and physicians who want to expand their qualification profiles with skills in software development and knowledge about new technologies. Graduates of industrial engineering/business studies & economics may only enroll in the ‘management’ track. Engineers must have been working in software development for at least two years.
