The Business School occupies a purpose-built, state of the art building on the £50 million Jubilee Campus. The School was designed to keep Nottingham at the forefront of business education in the 21st century. The campus is close to the centre of Nottingham, the thriving commercial and cultural capital of the East Midlands, and is one mile from the main University Park campus. Nottingham is unique among British business schools in having a campus in Malaysia, the University of Nottingham in Malaysia (UNiM).
The School's mission is to be a top ranked international business school, excellent in both research and teaching. NUBS boasts internationally renowned professors among our sixty-strong academic staff. Many of our staff has worked in industry, commerce, or the public sector before joining the School, and consequently possess a wide range of management skills and experience. We have faculty members with established reputations in areas such as economics, strategy, entrepreneurship, risk and insurance, international finance, marketing, human resource management, and venture capital. Within the Business School are many sponsored chairs including the Boots Chair of Accounting and Finance, the Worshipful Company of Insurers Chair in Insurance Management, the Norwich Union Chair in Insurance Studies, and the Swiss Re Chair in the Management of Risk.
Nottingham University Business School received a Grade 5 rating in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise, which means that the School's research is of international excellence. The high quality of this research informs the content and design of the MBA programmes, so that theory is combined with practice.
