A Collaborative Learning Community
The Huddersfield University Business School is a Virtual Business School which employs 138 Staff members.

We provide an excellent environment for teaching and learning in which new ideas are disseminated, discussed and evaluated.

We are a collaborative learning community with a clear vocational emphasis and high standards, in which students and staff can satisfy their intellectual and scholarly needs and develop their potential to progress in the business and professional world of work.

We provide undergraduate, and postgraduate courses and PhD research for some 4000 students.

The University of Huddersfield has some 15,000 students from over 60 countries. It has a friendly reputation and a high quality record and is perfectly situated in a multi-cultural town linking east to west and north to south. This offers easy access to national and international destinations. We are also close to such tourist attractions as the Yorkshire Dales, the Peak District, the Lake District and historical York, the capital of our county.

The Department of Management
The Department of Management has 27 well-qualified and experienced staff members who are well abreast of new and current trends and thinking, to which many contribute. They maintain close links with local, national, and international corporate clients, organisations and such prestigious professional bodies as the Institute of Personnel and Development (IPD). We provide a wide range of activities which focus visionary management.

The Full-time MBA Programme- which is a high quality and highly relevant programme for those seeking to enhance their quest for life-long learning. It is a major course for those who seek to aspire to the higher levels of management.

The major focus is International Business and Global Management, added to which is the Management of Innovation and Change, Managing Re-invention, Managing on the Internet, Entrepreneurship and the Management of Agility.

The full-time BA(Hons) Human Resource Management Degree- which is distinctive in that it builds on the functional areas of business by focusing Management, Leadership and Administration. It is essential for those who are not satisfied to merely follow but seek to become leaders.

The full-time BA(Hons) Human Resource Management Degree- a new and exciting course which truly focuses career development and the key skills in Human Resource Management and the related areas. We are keen to encourage and support students who follow this pathway to fulfil the requirements for IPD recognition.

PhD Research- we have an excellent record of providing staff supervision and facilities for research. PhD research can be undertaken on a full and part-time basis in addition to joint (between another University and ourselves) collaboration.
