    Most banks will provide loans for study at HEC (French nationals or residents with pre-established banking credentials). We do have excellent relationships with local branches of national banks. Information sessions, which include bank representatives, are regularly organized on campus.

    Mexico
    Groupe HEC and the French Embassy co-finance a partial tuition scholarship for high potential Mexican participants. The scholarship is merit based, and open to any Mexican citizen who has been admitted to the program. Candidates eligible for interview will be provided with an application form.

    Chile
    The French Embassy makes scholarships available for study in France. For details contact the Embassy at 633-5465 or consult their website www.netline.cl/France/becas.htm.

    Colombia
    COLFUTURO (Fundacion para el Futuro de Colombia) is a privately funded foundation which makes loans available for overseas management study. Contact in Bogota 232-2048 or 245-3471.

    Bank loans to international students

    Core curriculum
    CIMP 1 : Core International Management Program (first period)
    "Integrative / Multifunctional Case Study 1" : theme : Managing a Global Company (taught by a Faculty team of 5 to 6)
    this case study is followed by the following core courses :
    - Development of Personal skills
    - Accounting and Financial
    - Management : Management & Organizational Theory, Marketing, International Macro and Micro-Economics, Statistics

    CIMP 2 : Core International Management Program (second period )
    Marketing Field Audit, Management Accounting & Control, Industrial Management, Corporate Finance I and II, Legal Issues concerning the Development of International Companies, Human Resources and Social Management, Financial Strategic Decisions, Business Strategy.
    These courses are followed by a new "Integrative / Case Study " on the theme of "Managing Complexity " (taught by a Faculty team of 5 to 6)

    Structure of program
    The Program is structured around two main elements:
    * the CIMP: Core International Management Program covers the first 8 months of the Program, delivering the essential in-depth managerial knowledge. Throughout this period, courses are taught either all in English or Bilingual, that is both English and French.

    * the Personalized Program: accentuated in the second half of the curriculum, participants have the possibility to customize the MBA Program through.
    · a choice of over 80 electives such as The Emergence of Asian Markets, Entrepreneurship in Latin America, The Euro, Leadership, Geopolitics, Ethics. etc. and
    · 4 different tracks namely a Company Consulting Project, A Specialization, A Concentration or an Amplified International Experience through an Exchange Program at one of the top 37 MBA's in the world.
    The HEC MBA Program is GENERALIST during the first two periods. During the second part of the curriculum, each participant's career objective is addressed by way of specialized areas of concentration.

    Company Consulting Project
    MBA participants will complete a sponsored company consulting project which aims at achieving a defined strategic objective. Participants will work in 4 to 5 person teams, coached and supervised by a faculty member and a mentor in the company. Problems, issues and team recommendations will be shared with other participants during the progress reporting periods back on campus.

    Exchange Program
    The HEC MBA offers a choice between 37 Bilateral Exchange Programs with top MBA's worldwide. Number of places offered is limited and there is a selection process. Some examples are Columbia Business School, NYU, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Wharton, McGill-Montreal, ESADE, LBS, ITESM (Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey) in Mexico, Chinese Univerity of Hong Kong, Keio Business School-Japan…

    Facilities
    The HEC Campus is probably the biggest campus you can find in Europe. The 250-acre campus includes all types of facilities, including sports, library, computer and much more The HEC campus is a unique site of 250-acre green setting. Everything has been done to foster relaxation, exchange of information, and mutual support. The aim is to encourage the mixture of cultures, a commitment by the School that is much appreciated by the students.

    Each year, the European MBA tournament, a tradition in the world of MBAs, takes place on the HEC campus usually in the month of May. The purpose of this sporting event is to create an environment of mutual recognition and to allow future business leaders to establish valuable and long-lasting relationships and network. In May 1998, students from nine top European MBA Programs met on the HEC Campus for three days of competition, networking and festivities. The nine participating Schools were: ESADE, HEC (isa), IESE, IMD, INSEAD, LBS, MBS (Manchester B.School), RSM (Erasmus), and SDA Bocconi. Golf, Rugby, Football, Tennis, Sailing, Rowing were just a few of the sports which allowed students to reveal some of their many talents. Personal endeavours, group performance, strategy, determination, energy... all in an ambience of team
