Application deadline
AAU has a rolling admissions policy, which means that applications may be accepted at any time of the year. AAU stops accepting applications from non-visa seeking applicants for the upcoming semester 1 week before its start. Students with visa requirements who are not eligible for visa waiver are requested to apply no later than 10 weeks before the start of the term. The official visa processing time by Czech authorities is 60 days from an interview at the Czech embassy or consulate, however delays are not uncommon. Applicants who submit the application after this date will be considered for admission to the next term.

EUR 15,000 for both degrees MA and MBA (this tuition includes 60% scholarship on prices of both programs (MA and MBA) awarded on the bases of the agreement between AAU and SUMAS)

Student grants / Financial assistance
AAU offers a Merit-Based Scholarship that is awarded to a student in degree seeking program for excellent study results. Student should complete at least 5 courses for credit during their previous active semester at AAU. Merit based scholarship do not cover SUMAS courses.

MA in Business and Law in International Markets (with the option to earn MBA degree in Sustainability Management above that)


Our Master in Business and Law in International Markets is recognized as a Master of Arts (M.A.) in the United States, through AAU’s accreditation by the WASC Senior College and University Commission, and as a Magistr (Mgr.) accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic.

Students gain knowledge from a number of areas including economics, finance, international business law, and management, which prepares them for successful careers as managers, advisors, and analysts in international organizations.

Master Program Business and Law in International Markets students can earn additionally MBA degree thanks to cooperation with Sustainability Management School (SUMAS), a renowned Swiss university. SUMAS is among the best Swiss institutions engaging in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. Students enjoy the Swiss quality of education, but also the possibility of international networking and better job prospects.

Curriculum includes 15 courses taught by AAU faculty and 5 courses taught by SUMAS faculty members with a valuable and excellent academic background enriched with corporate experience The SUMAS courses are offered in the form of weekend classes or/and online education. One of the SUMAS courses will be provided in Switzerland, including field trips and visits to international organizations.

For MA degree: 45 credits for AAU´s courses + 15 credits for SUMAS´s accepted courses.

For MBA degree: 16 credits for SUMAS courses + 30 credits for AAU´s accepted courses.

Duration: 5 - 6 semesters

Tuition: Special scholarship tuition of approx. CZK 380,000 for both programs. 60% scholarship on prices of both programs (MA and MBA) awarded on the basis of the agreement between AAU and SUMAS.

The tuition fees in EUR 15,000 (approx.) and in USD 18,500 (approx.)


Admission requirements

The main admission requirements are:
  • Application Form (can be filled online at www.aauni.edu)
  • Bachelor’s Diploma and Transcript (a notarized copy)
  • High School Diploma (a notarized copy)
  • English language test score: TOEFL; CAE; IELTS; City & Guilds - IESOL
  • Personal Statement
  • Two Recommendation Letters
Once you submit all documents, we will then invite you to an interview.

Once all submitted documents are collected and checked by the admission office, an interview with the Assistant Dean of the School of Business will be conducted. The interview can be carried either via Skype or in person.You will receive the final decision on your application within 14 days from the day of the interview.

English proficiency at a level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). There are multiple tests that AAU recognizes as evidence of the C1 level proficiency, especially:
