By adopting a flexible structure, Brunel can offer you a mult-modal programme with the option of changing from one mode to another if your job demands or personal circumstances alter. Course fees for all three modes are the same and there is no charge if you transfer from one mode to another.
Designed for those who wish to take a short break from the workplace to concentrate on their studies and to re-evaluate their career path, this is an intensive one-year modular programme which is taught over two semesters, September-June, followed by a summer project which brings all the elements of the course together.
The part-time programme is designed to be completed in two years. It is for managers who wish to continue in employment and put their new found knowledge to immediate and practical use. It is an intensive, highly interactive and participative, modular programme and attendance is required at the University on one day a week.
The distance learning programme is an immensely flexible course, designed for those who are unable to attend the University on a regular basis for the part-time programme or who do not wish to take a career break. There are two start dates per year (February and September) and deferral from one intake to the next is a simple matter. The course must
be completed in five years, but may be completed in two.
The Graduate Business School, responsible for The Brunel MBA, is part of the School of
of Business and Management . As well as the MBA, the School of Business and
Management Studies offers a range of undergraduate single and joint Honours degrees,
including the unique distance-learning BSc in Business Administration, a variety of
Certificate, Diploma and Professional Development courses, and Masters and Doctoral
programmes on a part- or full-time basis for graduates
wishing to specialise in particular management areas.
The Brunel MBA aims to produce well-informed, critical thinkers orientated towards the
application of learning in the workplace, who know how to keep themselves up-to-date
and are open to new conceptual and technological developments. The course will give you
the practical skills you require to allow you to deal with a wide range of management issues
in industry and commerce, and the theoretical basis necessary for you to continue to learn
as well as to function effectively as a manager. It will also enable you to deal creatively
with business decisions in an increasingly turbulent and unpredictable environment.
